| In April 2015, Stadler Rail received an order from Nederlandse Spoorwegen (NS), the former Dutch State Railways, for 58 Flirt trains, including 33 three-car (Class 2200) and 24 four-car trains (Class 2500). The contract value of this order totaled approximately €280 million. Delivery began in 2016, and by September 2017, all Sprinter trains were in service. |
